Tibet, the roof of the world, was taken over by the Chinese government in 1959 leaving a peaceful people stripped of their basic human rights.  Although export of any Tibetan goods has been banned some of the monks leaving Tibet at the time of take-over brought with them the secret recipes to produce the finest incense available in the world.

Going back some 2500 years, during the time of the Lord Buddha, recipes and formulas were developed to produce some 30 different substances and when combined, ingredients such as medicinal plants, herbs, flowers, and minerals, produced the soothing and healing fragrances still available today.

Tibetan refugees gather the herbs and other ingredients and hand roll the incense following their ancient traditions precisely.  Needless to say, there are no chemical additives in any of the incense we are offering.
